What is Yourequal?

A different kind of employer-rating platform

Yourequal is an upcoming employer-rating platform designed to meet the needs of employees from underrepresented groups, such as marginalised genders, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergent people, disabled people, caregivers, and people with marginalised socioeconomic backgrounds.

As a user on the Yourequal platform, you will soon be able to leave curated feedback on your lived experience with present and former employers. Our rating questions are specifically designed to enable you to talk about your personal experience as a member of an underrepresented group.

On top of that, the reviews left by other members of the Yourequal community on companies’ profiles will provide you with unique insights on these companies’ culture and practices towards the group(s) to which you identify. If you’re not sure about accepting an employment offer from a company, check their profile on Yourequal!

If you’re an employer, the Yourequal platform aims to become a place for you to receive unfiltered feedback on your Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) lived culture, as told by your employees from underrepresented groups. Based on their reviews, you will be able to assess which practices resonate with your underrepresented employees and to pinpoint areas for improvement.

A Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) knowledge hub

At Yourequal, we think lack of information is a big driver in perpetuating discrimination in the workplace and that getting educated on DE&I is also key to flip the script.

To this aim, we are already posting useful resources on the Yourequal Linkedin and Instagram accounts to raise awareness and enable you to get educated, whether you are an employee or an employer.

We also plan on taking this up a notch on our blog where we will be elevating the voices of the community and posting empowering content for fostering corporate social justice!

By providing DE&I inspiractions and shedding a light on the lived experiences of the community, we hope to:
- Support corporate DE&I advocacy efforts, whether they are employee- or employer-led.
- Provide employers with tools for reflection and DE&I best practices.
- Celebrate DE&I efforts that create the conditions for underrepresented people to thrive in the workplace.
